Bidding process for new storage product of Trianel Gas Storage in Epe has launched

Aachen, Epe. Trianel Gasspeicher Epe GmbH & Co. KG has launched the marketing of storage capacities for the storage year 2024/25 as well as 2024/26 and is again putting highly flexible storage products with a total volume of 315 GWh up for auction on an interruptible basis.

For the first time, the storage operator is offering the possibility to bid not only for one storage year, but also on capacities for two years. "This is our response to the increasing demand for longer-term storage products," explains Carsten Haack, Managing Director of Trianel Gasspeicher Epe GmbH Co. KG. "The storage customer can thus dispose of his stored gas very flexibly over the longer term and thus has greater planning security."

This year's auction comprises a maximum of nine bundles, each for 35 GWh of working gas volume with an injection capacity of 200 MW and a withdrawal capacity of 400 MW. The bundles will be auctioned in two bidding procedures. As in previous years, the bundles allocated in the second auction will be interrupted before the bundles allocated in the first auction.

Interested parties can decide in both bidding procedures to submit bids for the 2024/25 storage year only or also for two storage years (2024/25 and 2025/26).

The first bidding procedure ends on June 22, 2023, 11:00 a.m. (CET).

The second bidding procedure ends on June 22, 2023, 14:00 (CET).
