Trianel Gasspeicher Epe is marketing storage capacities for 2017/18

Aachen, Epe. Trianel Gasspeicher Epe GmbH & Co. KG (TGE) is marketing storage capacities for 2017/18. In two separate tender processes stored bundles on an interruptible basis are being offered with the double amount of injection and withdrawal capacities.

In the first tender process an annual storage product 2017/18 containing three stored bundles is being offered for the period from 1 April 2017 to 1 April 2018. One bundle contains 25,000 MWh working gas volume, 200 MW injection and 400 MW withdrawal capacity. The minimum price for one bundle is EUR 48,000. The deadline for the first tender process is 18 January 2017, 12:00 CET.

In the second tender process, a current storage product with identical configuration (injection capacity 200 MW, withdrawal capacity 400 MW) will be offered for the period from 1 February 2017 to 1 August 2017. Three stored bundles are available with a working gas volume of 25,000 MWh each. The deadline for offers is 19 January 2017, 13:00 CET. The minimum price for one bundle is EUR 17,000.

Since 2008, TGE has operated a natural gas storage facility consisting of four salt caverns in Gronau/Epe (Westphalia), with a working gas volume of 199 million cubic metres. This is one of the fastest storage facilities in Germany, which is owned by 16 municipal utilities and semi-public shareholders.
